Description
I was with a friend visiting a horse ranch owned by her friend up in the hills of San Juan Capistrano to photograph her ranch of many horses. The drive was amazing and I kept on wanting to stop the car but we had to get there in time. The road had hair-pin turns and very narrow so opposing traffic.. oh my.. In any case, we arrived to our destination where we found 7 horses separated by fences; 4 of them were young and 3 older I believe. This horse is one of the younger ones. It is a rescued horse from shelter I believe.

We decided to take all of the horses to the rink to run free and so I can capture some free actions. We started out with 2 and then added more as we went. We set in a golf cart and tied to that had 2 horses. I set facing the horses. I was in total shock how lovely and caring these animals were! There were two of them in particular, this one and a white one, that really followed me every step of the way. It was hard to capture a photo because they always came too close just to be touched. They were such wonderful creatures! It was one of the best experiences I so far had with animals--I did not realize how much feelings they have toward others.

On this picture you can see the tiny think leash--like a dog--being totally loose on the horse as it is following us slowly and looking straight into my eyes. The trip lasted for maybe 10 minutes and I must have spent 100 pictures on the 2 horses following the golf cart I was so impressed! Many more photos will follow of course since I took many amazing pictures of various animals--tiny horses, donkeys, roosters, sheep, and other animals, even two cats atop a haystack. It was a wonderful experience.

I digitally manipulated the photo to give back the same warmth I felt coming from the horse even though it was actually a very cold and windy day. Based on this look, you'd think you were in balmy weather and a lovely grassland. Enjoy!

Marvelous image! The horses expression is touching, so sad and pensive. These animals feel and think. V/F

Amazing Art! No doubt the photograph is good, but the way you treated the photo is super cool. I wish I can learn some from you! :)
