This is an iPad finger painting (stylus paint) using the Inspire Pro app. My neighbor (since moved) was a dog trainer for diabetes. One day as I drove home I noticed a large cage with several pups in it that she told me were hers only for the hour. I took many photos but the pups were so busy and active, not too many turned out well. But my memory is very good on this one puppy that was a female and was so obedient that at 6 weeks of age could be told to sit,lay down, stay, whatever. It just followed and loved people and loved top please. So I asked if we could take her out of the cage and put her on the grass. I snapped a few quick shots.
This painting is not from any of the photographs--there are no such flowers in my neighbor's yard, nor was the puppy still to get a good shot but whatever pictures I had I used for inspiration to guide me to her cuteness. She had blue eyes, which I found unusual but perhaps that is normal for pups of 6 weeks of age as well.

Digital paintings have many advantages over paintings in oil or acrylic on canvas or board. The most important of these advantages of digital over "real" is that since they were already created digitally, they will be exactly as you see them on the monitor and not flat, once they are printed on canvas! This is a frequent complaint of buyers after purchasing a print of an oil or acrylic paint on canvas since on your monitor you only see the digitally photographed version of that oil or acrylic paint. Digital photography of highly textured items like oil or acrylic paint removes all textures and make them appear flat.
You don't get this problem with digital painting or drawing. You get exactly what you see! It is also green art--meaning it uses nontoxic materials and doesn't kills trees in the making!

Great work. The puppy is adorable yet I can imagine the mischievous deeds that will soon be unleashed (we still have the evidence of puppies from years gone by). /v
