The original inspiration for this painting came from Linda Segerson's photo, which can be found here: http://fineartamerica.com/featured/enchanted-forest-linda-segerson.html#comment11003416 I have modified it significantly since to me the mood was more important in the painting than the details. This forest is titled Snowing in the Ice Forest, since every branch is covered with ice. This is the night version of the picture posted earlier that presents different color combinations and mood for a different decor.
The painting is digital oil, meaning I used hand painting brush tool on my Intuos Wacom tablet to paint using software that is able to give texture like oil paint. Digital painting has the advantage that the texture you see will be the texture you will have on the print, whereas a real oil paint photographed and posted on the art website will be printed from the photograph, so it will be flat.
