Mammatus Clouds Forming by Angela A Stanton. Los Angeles and area is about to experience its biggest storm in several years. As I pocked my head out I noticed this most unusual cloud formation that I have never seen before. In research I was told it is Mammatus, often referred to as Mammary clouds. I must have captured them in their early formation stage. Very pretty and just a few minutes before dark.
